This deadline is earlier than the 23:59 ISEE/enrolment deadline used for most student categories. Filling out the form without formally transmitting it does not count as a submitted application.

1. What is the Ca’ Foscari Regional Scholarship and why does it exist?

This is the regional scholarship for the right to university education managed by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice on behalf of the Veneto Region. It is not the same as Ca’ Foscari’s separate merit/international-talent scholarships.

The purpose of the regional scholarship is to help capable students in difficult financial conditions meet the maintenance costs of university study. The call is structured around at least ten months of the academic year and combines money with services such as catering and, where applicable, accommodation managed through ESU Venezia.

2. Who can apply?

  • Students enrolled for the first time in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree.
  • Students enrolled in subsequent years of a Bachelor’s or Master's degree.
  • Eligible PhD students who are not receiving the PhD scholarship excluded by the call.
  • Part-time students under the separate reduced amount/merit rules.
  • Students with qualifying disability/recognised handicap under the specific Article 14 rules.

Important academic-history rule: The benefit is awarded for the first completion of each degree level. Previous university enrolment, transfer, withdrawal/forfeiture, internal course changes and already-held degrees can change the “year of career” or eligibility. Do not decide eligibility only from the course year shown on the current admission letter.

3. ISEE and ISPE limits: you must pass both

For 2026/27, the controlling call uses: ISEE ≤ €26,306.25 and ISPE ≤ €43,125.94. Both conditions must be satisfied. A low family income does not compensate for an asset indicator above the ISPE limit.

Source Note on Thresholds: One Ca’ Foscari Italian summary-page line currently displays €26,306.35, while the official 2026/27 call and English scholarship page use €26,306.25. To remain completely safe, we use the official call value: €26,306.25.

4. How much is the scholarship?

For the majority of full-time students, the standard scholarship amounts are:

Status ISEE €0–€13,153.11 ISEE €13,153.12–€17,537.50 ISEE €17,537.51–€26,306.25
Non-resident (Off-site) €8,246.00 (incl. €760 canteen) €7,171.11 (incl. €760 canteen) Gradually reduced from €7,171.10 to €3,585.50
Commuter €4,819.00 (incl. €540 canteen) €4,190.71 (incl. €540 canteen) Gradually reduced from €4,190.70 to €2,095.30
Local (Resident) €3,323.00 (incl. €250 canteen) €2,890.16 (incl. €250 canteen) Gradually reduced from €2,890.15 to €1,445.00
  • If a non-resident/independent beneficiary uses ESU residential accommodation, €1,600 is deducted as the standard accommodation share.
  • Students simultaneously enrolled in two study programmes can receive a 20% increase if applicable conditions are met.
  • Female students enrolled in listed STEM programmes can receive a specific 20% increase. Combination restrictions apply.
  • For the seventh semester of a Bachelor’s and fifth semester of a Master’s, scholarship and service shares are generally reduced by 50%.

Step 1 — Start international financial documents first

For an ISEE Parificato issued in 2026, the key rule is: current family composition in 2026, but income and assets from calendar year 2024. Ca’ Foscari’s FAQ specifically confirms that an ISEE issued in 2026 refers to 2024 financial evidence.

International / foreign-income document checklist:

  • Student passport/identity document and Italian codice fiscale.
  • Current family-composition certificate showing each household member and relationship.
  • 2024 income evidence for each relevant adult family member (Jan–Dec 2024).
  • Property/real-estate position at 31 December 2024 showing ownership details and square metres (m²).
  • Explicit evidence of no real estate where family owns no property.
  • Bank/postal account statements showing both 31 December 2024 balance AND 2024 average balance.
  • Investments, securities, shares or life insurance values at 31 December 2024.
  • Signed CAF ISEE Parificato delegation/authorisation form.
Do Not Omit Land or Assets: The scholarship call requires the household’s total real economic and asset position to be certified. Do not hide agricultural land, bank accounts, or a family member because a brief summary checklist omitted that specific item.

Indian Students: Apostille and Official Translation

India is in the Apostille group in Ca’ Foscari’s 2026 ISEE Parificato guidance:

  1. Obtain original financial/family/property documents from competent Indian authorities in local currency (INR).
  2. Apostille the competent original public document via the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
  3. Translate into Italian using an accepted official route: a sworn translation in Italy or an officially validated translation abroad. Self-translations or AI translations are rejected.
  4. Ca’ Foscari’s translation guide exempts bank account statements already in English from the Italian-translation requirement.

Step 2 — Obtain ISEE Parificato through Ca’ Foscari’s partnered CAF

Ca’ Foscari uses the dedicated partner CAF CIA portal: unive.01s.it.

  1. Register on unive.01s.it and activate your account.
  2. Upload all required, legally certified foreign financial documents.
  3. Aim to finish the upload by 15 September 2026 as an operational safety window.
  4. Monitor the portal for correction requests and resolve them immediately.

Simplified ISEE Pre-Screen Example (Family of 4)

  • 2024 annual family income: €14,000
  • Net countable assets (e.g. real estate + bank): €30,000
  • 20% of countable assets = €6,000
  • Household Equivalence Parameter (4 members) = 2.46
Rough ISEEU = (€14,000 + €6,000) ÷ 2.46 = €20,000 ÷ 2.46 ≈ €8,130 (Passes ≤ €26,306.25)
Rough ISPEU = €30,000 ÷ 2.46 ≈ €12,195 (Passes ≤ €43,125.94)

Step 3 — Submit the Benefits Application correctly in Uniweb

  1. Log in to the Ca' Foscari personal area (Esse3 / Reserved Area).
  2. Navigate to: Right to education and tuition fees → Benefits Application.
  3. Select the Regional Scholarship and choose your status: local, commuter, or non-resident.
  4. Authorise Ca' Foscari to acquire your ISEE Parificato data from the partner CAF.
  5. Press Transmit / Submit Application before 30 September 2026 at 12:30 PM (noon).
  6. Save the submission receipt containing your application serial number.

ISEE and Enrolment Deadlines by Student Category:

Student Category Benefits Application ISEE / ISEE Parificato Enrolment / First Fee
First-year Bachelor 30 Sep, 12:30 PM 30 Sep, 23:59 30 Sep, 23:59

Transfers from another university 30 Sep, 12:30 PM 30 Sep, 23:59 (Italian Call) 18 Dec, 23:59

Step 4 & Step 5 — Enrolment, fee payment, and status classification

Standard Bachelor/Master enrolment requires a first fee instalment of €500 (including regional tax) plus €16 stamp duty. PhD students generally pay the €192 regional tax plus €16 stamp duty.

Non-Resident Rental Contract Rule (10 Months):

  • Non-resident status requires paid accommodation near the course location for at least 10 months between September 2026 and September 2027.
  • The student must be named as tenant or co-signatory on a registered lease (Agenzia delle Entrate).
  • Complete the online rental upload form between 26 August and 30 October 2026. First-year Master students should complete it by 28 November 2026.

Rankings, CartaConto payments, and First-Year Merit rules

Eligible vs Beneficiary: Eligible means meeting requirements; beneficiary means funds are assigned. Ca’ Foscari allocates 30% of funds to 1st-year students (with 7% reserved for non-EU entries with non-EU qualifications) and 70% to later years.

CartaConto Requirement: Payments are disbursed exclusively to the student's official Ca’ Foscari CartaConto. Activate it within 30 days of receipt (and by 16 November 2026 for most students; 29 January 2027 for 1st-year Masters).

First-Year 20-CFU Merit Criteria:

  • 20 CFU by 10 August 2027: Standard second instalment is disbursed.
  • 20 CFU by 30 November 2027: First instalment is retained, but second instalment is forfeited.
  • Below 20 CFU by 30 November 2027: Scholarship is revoked and must be repaid.

15 Mistakes that can cost your scholarship

  1. Waiting until the last week to start ISEE Parificato documents.
  2. Preparing 2025 income instead of calendar-year 2024 evidence.
  3. Providing only 31 Dec bank balance and omitting 2024 average balance.
  4. Omitting property, land, investments, or household members.
  5. Using a non-partner CAF for Ca’ Foscari ISEE Parificato.
  6. Using unofficial or AI translations instead of certified routes.
  7. Leaving the Uniweb Benefits Application in draft without transmitting it.
  8. Thinking the application deadline is midnight instead of 12:30 PM (noon).
  9. Selecting the wrong geographic status or failing to select one.
  10. Assuming a late study visa extends scholarship deadlines.
  11. Claiming non-resident status without 10 months of registered paid rent.
  12. Failing to activate the CartaConto card within the required window.
  13. Forgetting the first-year 20-CFU merit dates in 2027.
