Before You Go
- NEET-UG qualification is mandatory — no exemptions
- Minimum eligibility: 50% PCB Class 12 (Gen), 45% (Reserved)
- University must be in WHO WDOMS — all 6 Bulgarian universities qualify
- Notify NMC India of your enrolment abroad
During Your Studies
- Complete all 6 years at the same university (no transfer after Year 1)
- Internship must be completed in Bulgaria (mandatory abroad)
- Attend minimum required % of lectures — maintain academic standing
- Annual renewal of student visa required
On Return to India
- Must clear NExT (National Exit Test) to practice in India
- NExT has replaced FMGE from 2024 onwards
- Degree equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
- Registration with State Medical Council after NExT clearance
