A European degree that works for India

Romania represents a premier EU pathway, charging affordable tuition while completely satisfying NMC regulations.

01

European Union Standard

Universities follow the EU Bologna framework. Your degree carries the weight of a European medical qualification — respected across the EU, UK, US, and Gulf.

02

100% English Medium

Both theory and clinical practice are delivered in English, satisfying the NMC's English-language rule and removing any language barrier.

03

Genuinely Affordable

Tuition of roughly €5,000–€8,000 a year and among the lowest living costs in the EU — a fraction of a private MBBS seat in India.

04

NMC-compliant by Design

The 6-year (5+1) structure, single-institution study & internship, and English medium meet the FMGL Regulations 2021 clause-by-clause.

05

No Separate Entrance Exam

Admission is merit-based on your 10+2 (PCB) marks — no separate entrance test. NEET qualification is required for Indian applicants.

06

Strong Clinical Exposure

Modern teaching hospitals, well-equipped labs, and early patient contact build the practical confidence you need for FMGE / NExT.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is MBBS in Romania valid in India?
Yes — provided the university is NMC-listed and your course meets the FMGL Regulations 2021 (English medium, minimum 54 months + 12-month internship in the same institution, completed within 10 years). After graduating you clear the FMGE / NExT licensing exam and complete a 12-month internship in India to register and practise.
Do I need NEET to study MBBS in Romania?
Yes. NEET-UG qualification is mandatory for all Indian students who wish to study medicine abroad and to be eligible to practise in India afterwards. Romanian universities themselves admit on 10+2 merit and do not set a separate entrance exam.
How long is the course and in which language?
The MD (MBBS-equivalent) programme is 6 years — 5 years of study plus 1 year of internship — taught entirely in English for international students.
What does it cost overall?
Indicative tuition is €5,000–€8,000 per year, with living costs of about €400–€600 a month. The complete six-year programme, including stay, typically works out to around ₹18–30 lakh — far below a private MBBS seat in India.
Can I work in the EU or other countries after graduating?
A Romanian medical degree follows the EU Bologna framework and is recognised across the European Union, and is accepted (with the relevant local licensing exam) in the UK, US, Gulf, and elsewhere. Your exact route depends on each country's own registration process.
What visa do I need?
A Romanian long-term Type-D student visa, applied for with your admission letter and proof of financial means. Plan for roughly 4–6 weeks of processing so you arrive before classes begin.
